The Committee is made up of some of the nation's leading budget experts including many of the past Chairmen and Directors of the Budget Committees, the Congressional Budget Office, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Government Accountability Office.
The Committee is seeking a driven and proactive Director, Engagement and Coalitions. This role will be responsible for building, managing, and engaging the Committee’s diverse stakeholder communities in Washington and across the country. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills—both written and verbal—and have a proven track record in issue advocacy, particularly in engaging and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. The Director, Engagement and Coalitions will work with the Committee’s policy and legislative teams and report to the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategy for recruiting, communicating with, and activating outside stakeholders to support organization’s objectives
Engage and build multiple groups and coalitions of civic, business, thought, and political leaders, former elected officials, and activists inside and outside of Washington to support the Committee in its bipartisan work on such topics as budget policy, tax policy, healthcare policy, long-term investments, economic growth, and addressing polarization
Develop and cultivate relationships with key outside stakeholders
Convene, organize, and facilitate coalition and other stakeholder/partner meetings
Proactively identify and address the needs of coalition partners involved in advocacy and program implementation and align engagement approaches accordingly
