Required Experience:

Qualifications

Proven leadership experience (10-15 years) in coalition building, and/or stakeholder engagement, preferably in a nonprofit, corporate, or public sector setting.
Strong understanding of fundraising with prior experience in nonprofit or not-for-profit environments relying on major gifts, grants, or corporate partnerships.
Experience in financial literacy or related fields (e.g., financial education, financial services, economic development) is highly preferred.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to serve as an articulate and effective spokesperson.
Strong business acumen and time and financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial oversight.
Relationship-building expertise, with a track record of engaging diverse stakeholders across sectors.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans that drive impact.

Job Title: Executive Vice President, President of HOPE Initiatives
Location: Preferably Atlanta but open to remote
Reports to: President, Operation HOPE

Position Overview

The EVP HOPE Initiatives will be responsible for driving progress on a portfolio of special projects and initiatives addressing the organization’s strategic priorities. The role will provide project and portfolio oversight, cutting across workstreams that include advocacy, public policy, research and innovation. Collaborating closely with the Operation HOPE operating committee, this role will identify growth opportunities for a number of special initiatives including the AI Ethics Council, Financial Literacy for All, Corporate Inclusion, among others. The role will lead cross-functional initiatives, oversee complex projects and help to ensure that efforts to support these initiatives align with Operation HOPE’s mission. This senior leadership role requires strong business acumen, relationship-building expertise, and a passion for advancing financial literacy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partnerships

Develop and execute strategies to advance the mission and financial sustainability of the organization by solidifying strong relationships with current partners and allies, including corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
Cultivate high-level partnerships to further the initiative's reach and impact, identifying and engaging potential members aligned with the mission.
Identify and assess new opportunities for growth, partnerships and innovation initiatives.
Serve as thought leader and advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on key organizational issues and opportunities.

2. Project Oversight and Management

Develop project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and oversee the execution of Operation HOPE special initiatives.
Monitor progress against goals and adjust strategies as needed to ensure initiatives are having immediate and sustained impact.
Provide regular reporting to the CEO, Board of Directors and Operating Committee on the status, outcomes and impact of special initiatives.

3. Promotion & Public Relations

Serve as the spokesperson and ambassador of Operation HOPE special initiatives in both public and private forums, including speaking at conferences, media interviews, and community events.
Collaborate with internal marketing and communication teams to raise awareness of initiatives both internally and externally to the public by creating compelling narratives and success stories to enhance visibility and outreach.
Represent Operation HOPE and various related initiatives to external stakeholders, including policymakers, media, corporate leaders, and community groups.

4. Leadership

Manage skilled mission advocates, as the initiatives expand and grow, that will assist in accomplishing the strategic objectives working with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop annual budgets and manage expenses, ensuring that the initiatives under your direction operate within financial guidelines.
Work collaboratively with internal partnership and development teams to identify and facilitate potential fundraising and donor groups to support the work of Operation HOPE.

5. Performance Measurement and Impact

Establish clear goals, success metrics, and performance indicators for special initiatives.
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness and impact of initiatives, using data-driven approaches to refine and improve outcomes.
Ensure that initiatives align with the organization’s overall mission and strategic priorities.
