Grants Manager (Independent Contractor)

Sister-to-Sister: International Network of Professional African American Women, Inc., a Colorado-incorporated, tax-exempt racial justice public charity is seeking an experienced part-time Grants Manager (Independent Contractor). This is an independent contractor position. Compensation is based on an hourly rate and is not contingent on the success of grant applications or a percentage of funds raised. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes and benefits.

Role Overview:
Self-starter, experienced Independent Contractor Grants Manager to manage current grants, develop grant proposals, handle grant-related compliance, reporting, and other related activities. On occasion, the Contractor’s assistance with online fundraising (i.e., sponsorship requests) may be available, upon inquiry. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated record of accomplishment in grant management and possess excellent writing, oral and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:
 Position Title: Grants Manager (Independent Contractor)
 Location:100% remote
 Hours: Up to15 hours per week
 Compensation: $30 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
 Provide detailed reports to funders, officers, and the Board on grants’ statuses and progress.
 Maintain and regularly submit accurate records related to grant activities, invoices, grantor payments to organization’s secretary/treasurer and other officers.
 Prepare timely budget plans that correctly allocate grant funds, maintaining records that accord with industry standards.
 Prepare compelling grant applications and reports for the board and grantors, including compiling and analyzing program impact data.
 Design and implement effective strategies to attract and retain regular individual donors.
 Develop an adaptable template proposal to use for grant applications.
 Research and identify new funding opportunities from private funders, foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
 Manage existing and future grant reporting, compliance, and program implementation.
 Create and utilize a collaborative process to facilitate effective internal communications with officers, board directors, colleagues, and volunteers on grant-related matters.

Note: Deliverables will be outlined in writing biweekly basis with due dates. Priority rankings will be designated.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred;
 Demonstrated successful experience in grant writing, management, and administration;
 Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills, and
 Proficiency with Microsoft suite programs and independent research acumen;
 Demonstrated acquaintance with prospective funding sources for nonprofits and associated application processes; and
 Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and produce quality results.
