Education and experience:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including track-record of successfully raising revenue in a non- or for-profit setting, organizational development, operational growth and strategic leadership of member-based organization(s).

Desirable:
- Deep subject-matter expertise in a relevant topic such as member engagement, community organizing, grassroots advocacy, climate change, decarbonization, building electrification, environmental justice, and/or public health.
- Experience with tandem 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 organization leadership.

Duties / Expectations:

1. Development (40-45%):

- Fundraising:
With the Executive Director, co-lead fundraising program – including collaboration in long-term strategic planning
Create and manage our donor tracking system
Lead donor prospect research
Identify fundraising opportunities to achieve budgetary goals
Serve as a collaborative relationship-holder for a portfolio of individual major donors and foundations
Represent Climate Health Now at networking and donor events
Manage grants reporting

2. Operations (40-45%):

- Communications:
Maintain and update internal communications calendar
Create and and share all member-facing communication in Powerbase
Manage and reply to organizational emails
Assist with production and editing of Annual Report
Maintain up-to-date record of all upcoming programming

- Financial Planning:
- Review accounting monthly with the ED and fiscal sponsor partner
File and track federal and state tax requirements
Virtual and in-person event production and support:
Serve as staff liaison to support CHN teams and CHN events, such as bi-monthly Community Meetings (virtual), educational webinars, advocacy events and in-person events such as the annual Healthcare Sustainability Summit
Liaison with the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health:
Attend bimonthly state calls representing Climate Health Now
Communicate federal calls to action to the Climate Health Now membership
Manage Member Data: Become proficient with Powerbase, CHN’s membership database used for member communications, event creation, and tracking of member activities

- Advocacy:
Track and support member grassroots advocacy campaign involvement
Participate in coalition meetings
Website maintenance:
Update upcoming events
Update information about team leaders and organizational activities

3. Leadership Strategy (~10-20%):
Collaborate in organizational strategic planning and leadership development
Support ED in team design and team recruitment
Serve as staff liaison to support specific CHN teams
Regular check-ins with volunteer team leaders and assistance with team strategy goal-setting
Represent CHN in coalitions as necessary
