Required Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• A passion to support vulnerable communities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal, with a talent for developing trust and
inspiration.
• Proven effectiveness in public speaking or willingness to learn.
• Ability to interact and work effectively within a variety of communities, including a
team-oriented, small office environment.
• Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to perform duties with minimum of supervision.
• Ability to be adaptable and maintain professional decorum under stress.
• College degree or commensurate experience.
• Minimum two years related experience.
• Familiarity with office technology and equipment, including Google Workspace and
Salesforce.
Preferred
• Prior experience as a volunteer and/or supporting volunteers.

• Experience serving a variety of communities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish); other languages a plus.
• Familiarity with San Mateo County and northern Santa Clara County.
• Familiarity with basic repair and construction.In addition, candidates will need:
• The ability to work occasional weekends, particularly during the spring and the fall
• The ability to lift or pull 25 lbs.
• Own car, insurance, and valid CA driver’s license, or other means to travel
independently throughout the Peninsula.
• Successful background check and fingerprinting.
Duties / Expectations:

Many of our projects depend on impassioned volunteers. This position will help identify,
inspire, and engage individuals and service groups to help power our mission. This role
will also help drive community awareness about our no-cost repair services through an
applicant outreach strategy. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Redwood City,
reporting to the Director of Marketing & Community Engagement.
