Required Experience:

QUALIFICATIONS:

A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
7+ years of executive or senior leadership experience, ideally in a church, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization
Demonstrated financial acumen and experience managing complex budgets
Proven operational leadership experience managing cross-functional teams such as IT, HR, facilities, etc.
Proven track record of building and leading effective teams and systems
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and strategic planning skills
Ability to lead with both humility and confidence in a fast-paced, collaborative ministry environment
HOURS:

Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm
Sundays: Presence expected at services and/or key campus events
Occasional evenings and weekends for meetings, major events, and strategic planning
Participate in church services, All Staff gatherings, and churchwide events is expected
Job Type: Full-time

ABOUT US:

LifeFamily is a growing congregation seeking an experienced financial and operational leader to join our executive team. With 4,000 members and multiple campuses, we’re looking for someone to steward our resources and strengthen our operational foundation for continued growth.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization and ensuring financial health, operational excellence, and scalable growth. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong financial background and a track record of optimizing organizational performance. The CFOO will directly support the Lead Pastor and executive team in executing the LifeFamily’s mission and vision through effective systems, strategic initiatives, and team leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Financial Leadership

Oversee the church’s annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring strategic stewardship and accountability
Direct all financial operations including accounting, reporting, forecasting, and asset management
Maintain strong internal controls and provide timely financial analysis to guide decision-making
Operational Management

Lead all central operations including IT, HR, facilities, risk management, and compliance
Optimize systems, vendor partnerships, and infrastructure to improve efficiency and scalability
Ensure legal and regulatory standards are met across all campuses
Strategic Planning

Partner with leadership on church-wide growth strategies, resource allocation, and capital campaigns
Develop long-range financial and operational plans that align with LifeFamily’s mission
Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives that support ministry effectiveness
Team Leadership

Lead and mentor finance and operations teams, building a culture of excellence and collaboration
Provide cross-departmental support to ensure seamless ministry operations
Champion organizational communication and actively cultivate a healthy, values-driven staff culture across all departments
