Full job description
AIDS Delaware is the state’s leading HIV/AIDS service organization, offering compassionate care, fierce advocacy, and innovative prevention strategies across all three Delaware counties. From case management and counseling to testing and The Village leadership program, we meet people where they are—and fight stigma with strength, facts, and humanity.
We’re looking for a bold, strategic, and people-centered Executive Director to lead AIDS Delaware into the next chapter. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED will oversee the agency’s $10M operating budget, guiding a team of 22 staff and 150 volunteers, while managing programs, finances, operations, and fundraising. This is a role for a visionary who knows how to get things done — someone equally comfortable in the boardroom and the community.
Key Responsibilities
Agency & Program Oversight
Lead services including case management, 340B pharmacy program, HIV prevention, and mental health counseling
Advance LGBTQIA+ outreach and programming through The Village
Represent AIDS Delaware in statewide coalitions and media
Financial & Fundraising Leadership
Manage $10M operating budget, including forecasting, compliance, and 340B operations
Spearhead fundraising strategy, grant development, 340B program growth, and revenue diversification
Strategic Vision
Drive strategic planning with Board and community stakeholders
Monitor impact and adjust programs to meet evolving needs
People & Culture
Inspire and grow a diverse, mission-driven team
Promote leadership, professional development, and inclusive practices
Community Engagement
Build partnerships with public health, nonprofit, and corporate partners
Represent AIDS Delaware with authenticity and purpose
