About LEE

LEE is a nonpartisan network of leaders at all stages of life and career. We provide 1:1 coaching, meaningful member-to-member connections, and skill-building opportunities to support and inspire members to increase access and opportunity in their communities. (wearelee.org)

We are a civic leadership development, membership organization. We equip LEE members with the tools, resources, and industry knowledge they need to take collective action and create change in their communities – whether that’s through policymaking, elected leadership, advocacy, or grassroots organizing. LEE believes that effective leaders who are grounded in their values and experiences can make a difference in their communities.

LEE is an outcomes-oriented organization that operates in an entrepreneurial environment deeply invested in continuous improvement. LEE is proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work, and to offer generous compensation, a virtual work setting that includes flexible scheduling, and a values-driven benefits package.

Position Summary:

The Director, Civic Leadership Development will serve on the Leadership Development & Design team and manage a portfolio of National Impact programs to support growth in LEE members’ leadership and their knowledge, skills, mindsets, and behaviors related to our policy and advocacy, elected leadership, or organizing pipeline. The Director will design and oversee the execution of high-quality virtual, in-person, and blended learning experiences that are grounded in LEE’s andragogy and liberatory consciousness development model in order to support them in deepening and growing their impact as civic leaders. The portfolio will include managing and implementing the immersive, multi-day programs, short virtual workshops, and more for leaders seeking to grow their public leadership.

The role requires both independent design and collaboration across the Member Impact team and LEE. In particular, the Director will collaborate with one of LEE’s Member Impact pipeline teams in the refinement of leadership development curriculum. The Director will provide leadership, expertise, and coaching on virtual and blended learning and facilitation from a liberatory consciousness lens. The Director will also need to collaborate with other LEE staff to rigorously track and analyze data, design program/project evaluation metrics, and make strategic shifts to programming in response to organizational and member needs.
