· Child protection orientation and systems-level perspective that understands how policy, funding, and practice intersect to shape outcomes for children and families
· Capable of fiscal oversight of a multi-million dollar organization and experience growing financial resources and using those resources strategically and responsibly
· Strong leadership courage by making tough decisions with integrity and transparency and upholding the highest ethical standards in all interactions

Additional Information
This role requires statewide travel and regular presence in Tallahassee, particularly during legislative sessions. While the position offers remote flexibility, on-site engagement at FCC and DCF headquarters and the Capitol Buildings is critical for relationship-building and legislative impact.

Position Overview
FCC seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will work with a highly skilled, committed staff and Boards to successfully oversee FCC and the Foundation’s overall operations and achievement of our mission. This position is regarded and respected as a leader amongst the members and he/she will be comfortable representing the needs, successes and voice of child and family well-being organizations across the State. The incoming CEO will be expected to advance the mission, continue the growth and stability of this organization, execute an array of organizational priorities, and will carry-on and fully realize an exciting vision for the FCC. As the child protection system evolves, and as priorities of the association change, this position and the organization it leads is called upon to drive improvement, innovation, and support strategic change.
Key Responsibilities
· Drive the effective execution of strategic priorities as defined by the association’s members and directed by the Board of Directors, aligning organizational operations, resources, and initiatives
· Work in close consultation with the Board of Directors and translate directives into actionable plans, ensuring timely and focused execution with measurable outcomes.
· Inspire and empower members, staff, and partners to achieve our collective mission and to drive progress in the Florida child protection system.
· Balance and prioritize the many different issues and requests of a large and diverse membership organization that includes both lead agencies and direct service providers, so that FCC represents a unified voice for children and families in Florida.
· Provide strategic guidance for advocacy including establishing and advancing legislative priorities, an effective advocacy plan, and keeping FCC as a leader in public policy related to the full continuum of child, youth, and family services
· Identify and anticipate the needs of FCC member organizations and continually look for opportunities to support and add value to members through their membership.
· Maintain and grow key, collaborative relationships including: FCC member organizations, Department of Children and Families State agency leadership, Florida Legislature, Child Protection stakeholders, philanthropic organizations, national partners, and other system stakeholders
· Expand membership and deepen engagement with current members
· Coordinate comprehensive, consistent, continuous and strategic development and communication materials and campaigns that effectively advocate for Community Based Care and child protection issues and practices
· Utilize research, data analysis, and best practices to inform strategy and policy and promote the FCC as industry experts and a trusted resource
· Manage and develop a high-performing, innovative and mission driven staff team
· Represent FCC and our members on commissions, workgroups, and various other committees
· Continue to bring in or develop resources needed to grow our influence, support the mission and growing work of the organizations
· Lead FCC’s annual conference for child and family serving professionals
