Preferred qualifications include
Significant senior leadership experience overseeing finance, operations, and human resource functions.
Background in nonprofit financial management and accounting, including establishing financial processes, policies and controls. (CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
Experience utilizing Change Management, Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to drive toward excellence and efficiency
Demonstrated ability to strategically transform the approach to, and level of, technology to support business decisions and improve efficiency
Successful experience working with and presenting to Boards of Directors.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills
Commitment to the values, mission, and future of the JCC Movement.
Able to expand the efficient collection of data that provides for improved measurement of impact at the organization and across the field
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, with a range of $240,000 - $290,000. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including health, retirement contributions, paid time off, and professional development support.
Location
This position is based in New York City at JCC Association headquarters where staff are required to work on site Tuesday-Thursday and have the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

Principal Responsibilities:
JCC Association of North America seeks a seasoned, mission-driven executive to serve as its next Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO). Reporting to and partnering closely with the CEO, the CFAO will excel in traditional financial leadership and strategic oversight of the organization's technology ecosystem. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's overall strategy during this exciting new chapter of growth and transformation while also leading the organization's journey to excellence within the finance and operations functions. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFAO will provide vision and leadership across Financial Management and Reporting, Strategic Planning, Business Operations, Systems and Technology, and Human Resources. This leader will ensure that JCC Association operates with excellence, transparency, and accountability while building organizational capacity to meet its growing needs as well as those of JCCs/JCC Camps across North America. The CFAO will also serve as the primary staff resource for key Board committees, including Finance, Investment and Audit.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to set and execute organizational strategy.
Oversee all financial functions, including accounting and reporting, audit, budgeting and forecasting, and serve as a liaison with the investment advisor managing the endowment fund.
Lead operational areas including human resources, technology, and systems to ensure organizational efficiency and resilience.
Serve as a trusted partner to the Board of Directors and provide staff leadership to select Board committees.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams.
Manage a department of eight including four direct reports with the potential for expansion.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrated record of seven to ten years of progressive leadership success in financial and operational leadership within complex organizations, ideally in the nonprofit sector. They will combine strong technical expertise with strategic vision, excellent judgment, and a mission driven orientation.
