Position Summary: The Executive Director provides the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily management for RFM. This role is best suited for a dedicated, visionary, and community-oriented individual who excels at building relationships, inspiring others, and implementing strategies to advance organizational goals. As the chief executive, you will collaborate with the Board of Directors and staff to develop and execute plans that strengthen RFM’s impact, ensure sustainability, and promote organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities: Reports To RFM Board of Directors
Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic leadership to advance RFM’s mission and strengthen its collaborative model.
Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and report on key metrics, organizational goals, and long-term strategies.
Act as the primary spokesperson and public face of RFM (in partnership with the Development Director), representing the organization at events, in the media, and within the community.
Champion a culture of collaboration, “family first” values, and organizational excellence throughout the organization.
Fundraising & Partnerships
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, community leaders, and partner organizations.
Lead fundraising strategies to ensure sustainability and growth of RFM’s programs and services.
Expand RFM’s supporter and partner base to increase organizational impact.
Work with the Development Director and Board to identify new funding opportunities and steward existing donors.
Program Oversight & Operations
Supervise and support a dedicated staff of 3.5 employees (including the Client Services Director and Development Director) as well as a team of established volunteers.
Guide and oversee the Client Service Department, ensuring high-quality support for individuals and families seeking help with immediate basic needs (food, utility, and housing assistance).
Promote personalized resources and support to help clients achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
Lead regular program evaluations and implement improvements based on community feedback and best practices.
Coordinate logistics and resource allocation to maximize program effectiveness and reach.
Governance & Reporting
Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure transparent communication and alignment with RFM’s mission.
Prepare and present regular reports, organizational updates, and strategic plans as required.
Support the Board in governance activities, policy development, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
