A Brief Overview
This role’s primary responsibility will be to identify, qualify, solicit and steward prospects and donors at the major gift level. This role will be assigned to specific areas of the hospital to cultivate meaningful relationships with clinical partners and work with these teams to engage with patient families and external affiliates to discuss opportunities for philanthropic partnership. The role will also be tasked with contributing to Hospital-wide efforts to solicit support for capital projects, unrestricted support, and other top priorities as they are identified by Foundation leadership.
What you will do
Serve as a liaison for fundraising for assigned areas of the hospital, partnering closely with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams to secure major gifts from families of patients, as well as donors inspired by the innovative clinical, research, and family support initiatives in the respective medical areas
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of 150 prospects with capacity to make a 6-figure gift, meeting annual fundraising goals and expectations.
Increase philanthropic awareness via physician/nursing/support staff orientations, one-on-one medical staff meetings, and maintaining a presence in the clinical units.
Partner with volunteer leadership to attract volunteers and manage volunteer committee(s) comprised of individuals who are willing to give and advocate on behalf of the hospital.
Develop collaborative relationships within Individual Giving team and across the entire Foundation.
