Required Experience:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

At least 5 years’ professional fundraising experience required, with a track record of successful 4-5 figure gift solicitation strongly preferred.
Detail-oriented, well organized, focused and goal-oriented, with a high level of initiative and energy. Must display a high level of maturity and personal integrity and ability to understand, develop, and sustain resilient and dynamic relationships with donors, colleagues, and senior management.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with coworkers and with donors; must have demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and discretion.
Exceptional writing skills with an eye for creativity and great attention to detail. Ability to craft compelling donor communications from meaningful acknowledgement letters to accurate engagement and fund activity reports.
High organizational ability, adherence to strict deadlines, and ability to manage concurrent projects and priorities.
Solid computer skills, including knowledge of common donor databases, such as Raiser's Edge. Experience working with fundraising tools such as DonorSearch, iWave, MailChimp, GoFundMe Pro/Classy, and productivity tools within the Microsoft Office and Adobe design suites strongly preferred.
Establish a collaborative relationship with the mission delivery division to ensure free flowing exchange of information.
Exercise independent judgement in collecting and analyzing information on prospects and donors to be utilized in the development of cultivation and stewardship programs.
Bring donor relations perspective to discussions to ensure each piece of collateral from Marketing and Communications is integrated into the overall donor relations and recognition strategy.
The ability to interact comfortably, tactfully, and effectively with varied internal and external constituencies is essential.
Experience organizing and supporting special events.
Desire to have fun while working in an environment of intelligent, highly motivated people.
Some regional travel, weekend, and evening work required.
Recommended Education, Training and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable work experience in the industry/profession.
CFRE certification is a plus.
GSGLA Employee Requirements

Comply with state-mandated reporter training.
Attend GSGLA signature events and/or other activities as assigned.
Must successfully complete a live scan and background check.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Senior Manager, Individual Giving is responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of the individual donor pipeline and contributing to overall fundraising goals through solicitation of participatory and leadership gifts, consistent with the mission and values of Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA). This position will be part of a team responsible for growing the number of new donors and retaining and deepening the relationships with current donors and constituents. Sr. Manager will supervise the Database Management Specialist, with a strategic eye of the full donor pipeline.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Individual Giving Pipeline
Oversee and work closely with the Director of Philanthropy to formalize an Annual Giving program and grow the pipeline through a data-driven approach
Maintain a donor portfolio of 100+ individuals with emphasis on securing leadership level donations ($1,000+) and growing lower-level donors by conducting phone calls, virtual and in-person visits, and solicitations.
Is responsible for implementing and supporting meaningful opportunities to engage prospects and donors from all walks of life and has a significant effect on GSGLA’s ability to promote, increase, recognize and retain supporters. These include, but are not limited to managing a donor portfolio, creating intimate special events for solicitation and recognition, identifying individuals through the donor pipeline, direct soliciting individuals, and development of related collateral that supports Individual giving opportunities.
Works with the Director of Philanthropy to create and implement the best strategies for building and moving donors through a donor pipeline through identification, cultivation and stewardship of individuals.
Coordinates with the Director a calendar of donor engagement events, ranging from evening and weekend soirees to small gatherings with constituents and the CEO or other chief executives.
Develop plans to reduce donor attrition, re-engage lapsed donors, and establish longevity with first time donors.
Oversees planned giving society creating promotional materials, identifying/soliciting potential members, coordinating recognition of new and existing members and planning an annual recognition event.
Ensures effective giving appeals are executed, specific donor groups are managed and engaged (planned giving, high potential volunteers, monthly donors), donor acknowledgement letters are timely, and stewardship communication is accessible for team members. Assists with creation of fund development solicitation materials and annual impact report.
Manages the Database Management Specialist, ensuring quality of data entry, portfolio management, report timeliness and integrity, and streamlining and improving processes around individual donor pipeline.
Actively participate in key meetings and discussions as assigned.

Annual Fundraising Event: She Leads
Works closely with the Fund Development and Marketing Communications team to help execute annual fundraising event, She Leads, and achieve Individual Giving fundraising goal for event. This includes contributing to the creation of event assets, participating in committee communication, and donor solicitation and management.
Maintain a portfolio of individual prospects, as related to ticket and sponsorship sales.
Work with Database Management Specialist to develop and manage partnership portfolios for CEO, CERO, Sr. DOD and Board of Directors to achieve revenue goals.
Prepare compelling prospect and donor materials such as letters, proposals and stewardship reports as needed.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, up-to-date donor records in the CRM database, including detailed moves management following calls, e-mails, visits, and solicitations.
Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor in all interactions.
Demonstrate flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
