Background in developmental disabilities, mental health, or behavioral health required.

RISE Services, a nonprofit human services organization, is seeking an Executive Director to lead our Utah operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, management, and performance of all Utah departments and programs, ensuring alignment with RISE’s Mission, Vision, and Values and full compliance with state regulations and organizational policies. The Executive Director will champion person-centered services for individuals with developmental disabilities, foster innovation in service delivery, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and state agencies. This position provides leadership to the Utah management team, drives operational excellence, ensures fiscal accountability, and advocates for systemic improvements that prioritize client rights and quality outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with state agencies and funding sources, including the Department of Economic Security, Department of Health & Human Services (DSPD), Division of Child and Family Services, and Child Protective Services.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Utah Management Team, ensuring consistent communication and alignment across all programs.
Serve as an active member of the RISE Executive Team; implement organizational decisions and strategies within Utah operations.
Advocate proactively for individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting innovative service models that enhance independence and quality of life.
Ensure all programs comply with RISE standards, state policies, and regulatory requirements.
Drive innovation through systematic problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze trends to improve service delivery and client outcomes.
Collaborate with team to develop new services, expand program offerings, and generate revenue growth.
Oversee training systems to ensure compliance with funding source requirements and best practices.
Represent RISE and the individuals we support in interactions with state agencies, families, providers, and professional organizations.
Lead implementation of new program initiatives in accordance with government requirements.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, contractual obligations, and laws.
Develop and maintain detailed policies, procedures, and process documentation for all functions.
Promote staff development, training, and succession planning to strengthen organizational capacity.
Establish and report on quality-of-care and service metrics, meeting or exceeding performance targets.
Advocate for contractual and systemic improvements with funding agencies, prioritizing client rights and well-being.
