Required Experience:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Minimum 5 years of management experience in behavioral health, public health, CalAIM services, or community-based programming.
Extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, including staff supervision, compliance oversight, contract management, and community partnership development.
Ability to direct data-driven programs, compliance, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
Strong leadership, administrative, and communication skills.
Commitment to collective care, trauma-informed practice, and culturally affirming service delivery.

Position Title: Executive Director
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Salary Range: $115,000 – $150,000 annually
Monthly Range Equivalent: $9,583 – $12,500 per month
Location: Los Angeles County (Hybrid acceptable)
Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) oversees daily program operations, staff supervision, compliance, and service delivery across all Therapeutic Play Foundation initiatives. With strong nonprofit leadership experience, the ED ensures high-quality programming, culturally responsive practices, and consistent alignment with TPF’s mission and values. Reporting directly to the CEO, the ED leads program implementation, workforce oversight, outreach, and administrative systems that support TPF’s community wellness, CalAIM programming, school-based services, maternal mental health, and ArtGard initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Implementation
Manage daily operations and ensure program fidelity across all service areas.
Oversee CalAIM compliance, school district contracts, behavioral health services, and clinical workflows.
Ensure effective delivery of measurement-based care, documentation, and reporting.
Monitor program outcomes, quality improvement, and client engagement.
Staff Supervision & Workforce Development
Supervise CHWs, LCMs, clinical consultants, administrative staff, and program coordinators.
Support staff development, training, and performance evaluation.
Foster a trauma-informed, culturally grounded workplace culture.
Promote equitable workforce practices and team alignment.
Operational Management
Maintain organizational systems, processes, and program infrastructure.
Support risk management, compliance monitoring, and auditing readiness.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation for billing, reporting, and quality standards.
Oversee scheduling, caseload flow, outreach workflows, and service coordination.
Community Partnerships & Engagement
Represent TPF in community-based collaborations, school partnerships, and public events.
Support outreach strategies and relationship-building under CEO direction.
Coordinate with community partners to ensure effective resource navigation and trauma-informed service delivery.
Financial & Administrative Support
Support the CEO and Finance team in budget planning and contract management.
Oversee program-specific grant deliverables, reporting, and outcome tracking.
Ensure program operations meet fiscal and compliance expectations.
