Education/Training/Experience
Bachelor's degree with experience in communications, public relations, business administration and development, or equivalent experience in the same with five years of experience in development/public relations.
Experience in budget preparation, administration, and staff supervision.
Previous experience in grant writing and fund-raising is preferred.
The Executive Director shall receive an annual review based on job performance by the Board Chair or a committee so designated by the Chair.
Pay: $69,652.90 - $83,883.05 per year

Since 1968, the SEPP Group has been providing quality, affordable housing in the Southern Tier. SEPP is designated as an RPC (Rural Preservation Company), as defined by the NYS Division of Housing. Summary
The Executive Director is the top salaried position in the corporation, who oversees and directs all company matters and is responsible only to the Board of Directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for organizing, coordinating, and directing the staff, programs, and activities of SEPP, Inc.
Establish and implement administrative and housing policies and procedures.
Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and termination of SEPP staff.
Oversees and ensures RPC contract compliance.
Provides leadership and direction in the fulfillment of various state, federal, and private programs pertaining to senior, handicapped, and multi-family housing.
Monitors SEPP’s technical needs, both current and projected.
Evaluates the impact of existing housing programs and projects, and proposes new programs or improvements for existing programs.
Responsible for the preparation of all project and corporate budgets.
Plans, directs, and coordinates the development of proposals for funding and services under various public and private programs.
Oversees and directs the physical management of SEPP projects and associated properties.
Supervises education programs to advance the professional, technical, and managerial skills of SEPP staff.
Acts as spokesperson on behalf of SEPP in relationships with state or federal agencies.
Articulates SEPP’s positions on housing to the public, press, government officials, and other organizations
Oversee, plan for, perform, and/or supervise all related public relations duties and fundraising activities.
Participate in maintaining positive relations with various organizations' publics by responding to all media requests, preparing press releases as needed, and developing publicity projects to enhance visibility as necessary.
Represent SEPP as assigned to various organizations, attend relevant meetings, serve on committees, and participate in activities in the community as requested.
