Required Experience:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, social sciences, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector or related field.
Proven success in fundraising, including donor relations, grants, and sponsorships.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to think strategically, inspire others, and lead collaboratively.
A passion for Parkinson's that would be a HUGE plus
Pay: From $100,000.00 per year

Position Overview

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of Changing Parkinson’s and is responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction to fulfill the organization’s mission. The Executive Director oversees strategy, operations, staff, fundraising, and external relations, working in partnership with the Board of Directors to ensure long-term sustainability and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Mission Advancement

Lead the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan in alignment with mission and values.
Monitor community needs and sector trends to ensure programs remain relevant and impactful.
Report Quarterly to the Board on progress toward strategic goals.
Fundraising & Financial Management

Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including donations, events, and corporate sponsorships (growing beyond the 5KforJK annual walk).
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with funders and donors.
Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring sound financial practices and accountability.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local nonprofit regulations, working through Foundation Group.
Operations & Program Oversight

Oversee the delivery of high-quality programs and services: PDNextSteps exercise program and community, The Secret Life of Parkinson’s educational podcast and community, and the PD Kits.
Implement efficient systems, policies, and processes that support growth and accountability.
Manage facilities, technology, and resources in support of staff and program needs. (Neon CRM and Fundraise, Teachable, PushPress)
People Leadership & Culture

Recruit, supervise, and develop staff and volunteers.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
Promote equity and accessibility in all aspects of the organization’s work.
Board Engagement & Governance

Serve as non-voting member of the Board of Directors.
Provide timely, accurate information to support effective board governance.
Partner with the Board in fundraising, advocacy, and strategic initiatives.
External Relations & Advocacy

Work with Jessica who will be the chief spokesperson (the face) and ambassador for the organization.
Build and strengthen relationships with community partners, policymakers, and the public.
Assist Jessica and Melissa (and potential other PD peeps) with representing the organization at events, in the media, and within relevant networks.
