Organizational Overview:

The Contra Costa Immigrant Rights Alliance (CCIRA) is a dynamic coalition of community, faith, advocacy, and immigrant-led organizations that first came together in the spring of 2017 to provide a platform for collective action in support of immigrants throughout Contra Costa County. Our mission is to transfer Contra Costa into a county that warmly embraces, respects, and safeguards the rights of all its immigrant community members. CCIRA is fiscally sponsored by Immigrant Action Network (IAN), a 501(c)(3) organization committed to advancing immigrant hip inclusion.

Job Summary

CCIRA is looking for a Coalition Director who can facilitate a county-wide coalition, identify advocacy opportunities, build and execute campaign plans, and build collaborations with allied organizations across the region and state. Reporting and supported by an advisory board, the Coalition Director will do the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead coalition partners and community leaders to create, pass, and implement policy advocacy opportunities that materially improve the lives of immigrants in Contra Costa County.
Identify advocacy issues and create and execute actions plans.
Analyze what it takes to win, build a successful plan, and execute.
Lead a coalition of diverse partners to create strategic plans, with measurable deliverables and shore up the shared resources to execute the necessary tactics and activities.
Create and successfully execute fundraising plans aimed at foundations and local donors to sustain the work.
Manage staff members that interface with key partners and impacted community members to organize and facilitate direct services.
Create and sustain relationships with Bay Area immigrant rights leaders to work towards regional collaboration and plans.
Participate in fellow Contra Costa coalition spaces, representing the collective work of CCIRA.
