Overview:
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) is responsible for the comprehensive planning, implementation, management and oversight of all fundraising, and community relations activities. The CDO will lead a collaborative effort charged with the management of day-to-day fundraising and providing a dynamic integrated program.

Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Plan, implement, and manage the development activities designed to meet the goals and objectives as defined by the strategic plan.
Able to communicate with and steward high-level donors and volunteers.
Plans, executes, and facilitates fundraising strategies.
Identify, cultivate, and solicit potential significant donors to help meet funding goals for Arrow.
Create the annual department budget and long-term strategic development and communication plans.
Establish and implement an annual calendar of fundraising and communication activities.
Direct the writing of funding proposals, direct mail letters, special event materials and other fundraising support documentation.
Manage the stewardship, gift accounting and reporting functions, ensuring that all donors receive personal and timely acknowledgment of their gifts.
Oversee the management of donor database.
Administer the incorporation of policies and procedures, mission, and vision in all development/communication plans.
Develop annual revenue goals and plans to diversify and increase organizational budget through a comprehensive development strategy to include foundation and individual donors (major donor, smaller-level donors, online, etc.), as well as other appropriate sources.
Lead and engages senior management team in developing effective messages for new and broader donor audiences.
Prepare development reports including plans, accomplishments, and challenges for Executive Management and Board meetings.
Able and willing to participate in events outside the normal workday schedule.
Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
Occasional travel may be required.
