Required Experience:

The Engagement Coordinator position was created to address a growing need for dedicated capacity in donor engagement, stewardship, volunteer coordination, and community relationship-building—areas that directly influence DLEC’s fundraising success and mission visibility. In the last few years, we have tripled our grants outreach as well as maximized event offerings; today grants and events have reached their realistic revenue limits, the greatest untapped opportunity lies in strengthening individual giving and converting volunteer and community engagement into long-term support. Our current development team does not have the bandwidth to cultivate donors consistently, gather impact stories, manage stewardship touchpoints, or run a structured volunteer pipeline, all of which are essential for sustainable revenue growth. We project the revenue growth to be an additional $300,000-$350,000 annually. With this, DLEC can deepen donor relationships, enhance volunteer engagement, improve data and follow-up systems, and ultimately generate the expanded resources needed to serve more children and families with high-quality early learning.
