Full job description
Executive Director

CASA of Lane County | Eugene, Oregon

If you are drawn to leadership that matters — leadership when times demand it, not when it’s comfortable — keep reading.

CASA of Lane County is looking for its next Executive Director. This is a chance to step into work that is meaningful, visible, and deeply connected to the well-being of children and families in our community. It’s leadership with purpose, people, and real impact — and yes, it’s also incredibly rewarding.

This role isn’t about sitting behind a desk or chasing titles. It’s about bringing people together, strengthening systems that matter, and leading an organization filled with passionate staff, volunteers, and partners who show up every day for kids who need an advocate.

You’ll be trusted to guide the organization forward — supporting a strong team, partnering with an engaged Board, building community relationships, and helping CASA continue to grow in thoughtful, sustainable ways. You’ll have room to lead, to shape culture, and to leave things better than you found them.

What This Role Actually Looks Like

Being the steady, consistent leadership voice for the organization
Supporting and developing a talented, mission-driven staff
Working closely with a committed Board of Directors
Serving as a visible ambassador for CASA in the community
Partnering on fundraising and community engagement
Making sure the organization is healthy, aligned, and set up for the long haul
Who Thrives Here

Leaders who value relationships as much as results
People who bring emotional intelligence, clarity, and calm to complex work
Nonprofit or mission-driven professionals ready to lead at the organizational level
Those who believe leadership should feel meaningful, not performative
You don’t need to have “Executive Director” on your résumé already. You do need to care deeply about people, lead with integrity, and want your work to mean something at the end of the day.

Why This Is Worth Your Time

Because this is one of those roles that stays with you — in the best way.
You’ll see the impact of your leadership not just in numbers or reports, but in trust built, lives changed, and a community made stronger.
