Full job description
Communications Director | Mountain Movement Strategies
Company Overview
Mountain Movement Strategies helps candidates and organizations run strong, effective campaigns to make Wyoming work for the next generation. We are a team of political campaigners and organizers supporting emerging political leaders and community organizations across the state.
In 2026, our work focuses on countering political extremism and strengthening accountability and effective leadership in Wyoming politics. This includes constituent education during the legislative session; post-session accountability efforts; primary election candidate campaigns and independent expenditures (IEs); and support for candidate, IE, and ballot measure campaigns in the general election.
Our team comes from different political backgrounds and works across party lines, united by shared values and a focus on kitchen-table issues like affordability, accountability, and practical problem-solving for working families. We value intellectual independence, respectful disagreement, and outcomes over partisan labels.
Position Overview
The Communications Director leads communications strategy, message development, and creative execution for campaigns, candidates, and clients. This role requires the ability to craft persuasive, authentic messaging for diverse audiences across Wyoming, particularly voters skeptical of partisan politics.
The ideal candidate understands Wyoming’s conservative political culture from the inside, but is not bound by partisan loyalty. They are politically independent, able to speak authentically with Republican candidates and voters, and comfortable working within a team that holds a range of political views.
Responsibilities

Write values-based, research-informed content tailored to each client and community
