Required Experience:
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline from an accredited institution required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of three years of relevant experience in career/professional development, higher education, human resources, or a related field, including exposure to strategic planning.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of professional and career development and/or human resources.
Proven ability in program planning, implementation, and management.
Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgment and decision-making ability.
Experience developing and maintaining relationships with alumni or comparable external stakeholders.
Demonstrated organizational, leadership, and managerial skills to develop, implement, and sustain programs.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple constituencies and diverse populations.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer-based work requiring visual acuity and manual dexterity.
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
Ability to climb stairs and navigate campus facilities as needed.
Sufficient speech, hearing, and vision capabilities to effectively communicate and interact in person and via telephone or virtual platforms.
Intermediate quantitative and reading skills, including the ability to interpret written materials, formulas, and basic statistical data.
Assigned home campus is Bloomsburg, with regular scheduled travel to Lock Haven and Mansfield campuses
Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Reports to: Associate Vice President of Alumni and Professional Engagement
Summary of Position:
The ZIPD Director provides leadership and coordination for the Zeigler Institute for Professional Development, supporting student career readiness, experiential learning, and professional development initiatives within ZCOB. The role strives to improve measurable student outcomes through collaborating closely with the Dean, Faculty, Alumni and Professional Engagement, and the Foundation to leverage a cultivated network of local, regional and national organization partners and alumni to achieve two primary goals: 1) to ensure a wide variety of quality experiential and applied learning opportunities are available to all ZCOB students, and 2) to enhance the visibility, professional image and employability of ZCOB students.
The Director works closely with the Dean and faculty to develop, deliver, and track ZIPD elite requirements and ZCOB’s career and professional development programs, and experiential learning opportunities. Strong capacities for relationship-building, travel between Commonwealth University campuses, evening, and weekend work are essential for this position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Organize, coordinate, execute, and manage programming and other activities of the Zeigler Institute for Professional Development that support the students of the Zeigler College of Business in Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield.
Student Outcomes & Career Readiness- Assist the Dean, Associate Dean, Alumni and Professional Engagement, and ZCOB Faculty in developing relevant career readiness programs and activities to embed professional development across freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior years. Improve participation in ZIPD Elite professional development opportunities and the employment outcomes of all ZCOB students.
Faculty Collaboration & Academic Alignment -Support faculty in integrating alumni engagement, employer engagement, and career readiness competencies in courses and majors to align experiences with workforce needs
Signature Programs & Brand Development - Lead high-impact programs, including the ZIPD conference and student incentives such as ZIPD Elite.
Advancement & Alumni Collaboration- Activate alumni and donor networks for student opportunities, support donor stewardship through engagement coordination with advancement, and report outcomes and participation data.
Data & Continuous Improvement - Track outcomes that inform strategy
